Launch X431 Clone VAG ID48 96bit Transponder

The Launch X431 system has expanded its capabilities to include the cloning of VAG ID48 96-bit transponder chips. This feature allows users to clone ID48 96BIT transponder chips for Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG) vehicles.

 

Tools required:

Launch X431 key programmer (the key tool)

Launch X431 IMMO Elite/IMMO Plus or advanced tablets (Pro5/PAD V/PAD VII etc)

Launch X431 super chip

 

Procedure:

Connect the Key Programmer to the Launch X431 Tablet:

    • Start by connecting the Launch X431 key programmer to the Launch X431 tablet (IMMO Elite, IMMO Plus, or other compatible models).

Insert the Original Key:

    • Place the original key into the coil of the key programmer.

Read Transponder Information:

    • Use the tool to read the transponder information. The system will identify the transponder as an ID48 (96-bit) locked transponder.

Select ID48 (96-Bit) Online Calculation Function:

    • From the menu, select the ID48 (96-bit) online calculation function.

Follow Instructions for Online Calculation:

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the ID48 96-bit online calculation. Once ready, hit Start Clone.

Position the Key Programmer:

    • Place the key programmer close to the vehicle’s ignition switch.

Insert and Remove the Key 8 Times:

    • Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the No gear position (but do not start the engine). Pull the key out and repeat this process 8 times.

Complete Online Calculation:

    • The system will successfully calculate the key data online.

Verify Original Key Data:

    • Place the original car key back into the coil of the key programmer to verify the data. The tool should confirm that the original key data is verified successfully.

Insert Launch X431 Super Chip:

    • Remove the original key and insert the Launch X431 Super Chip into the coil.

Write Data to the Super Chip:

    • The tool will write the data to the super chip, confirming that the ID48 96-bit transponder has been copied successfully.

Program the Key Remotely:

    • Once the transponder is cloned, you can proceed to program the key remotely using the Launch X431 IMMO Plus/IMMO Elite or other VAG key programming tools.

 

By following the above steps, users can efficiently clone transponder chips and program keys, saving time and ensuring accuracy. This feature is particularly useful for automotive locksmiths, dealerships, and repair shops working with Volkswagen, Audi, and other VAG vehicles.

Launch X431 V+ or PIWIS-III for Porsche Diagnosis?

I have the Launch X431 V+ Pros Mini which I purchased new from obdii365 for $1079. I also have a PIWIS III clone V38.90 that i purchased from another website for $1429. I purchased the Launch X431 V+ with the intent of using it to flash a used control module for my car. When I discovered that the Launch X431 V+ could not do that I purchased a PIWIS III clone with the intention of selling the Launch X431 V+ but I have not got around to selling it yet because it is so much easier to use then the PIWIS III.Here is what I have done so far with each one.
