There is a Renault SGW security Gateway unlock menu in Launch X431 PAD VII, but it asks for an 18-digit PIN to activate it. Where to get the PIN?

You will need to input the 18-digit PIN to unlock Renault SGW security gateway with Launch X431 PAD II or PAD V.


The Renault Security Gateway is like a firewall for the ECU’s, you don’t have a full diagnostic functions without unlocking. You only can read out the datastream, the live data from ECUs, you can read out fault codes, but you cannot do special functions or calibrate and ADAS system or other things.

 

It’s now possible to unlock the security Gateway with Launch X431 diagnostic scanners (forLaunch X431 PAD VII and PAD V and some advanced European tablets ONLY).

In original Launch X431 you have an option to activate the gateway after purchasing a card with tokens.

This feature allows you to unlock Renault vehicles equipped with Gateway (Clio 5, Zoe 2, Kangoo 3, Captur 2, etc.) The feature is for European users only.

Go to Mall->Other Goods->Other Software Packages

Find and buy the European SGW Function License within machine directly. Then you will receive an 18-digit pin.

I have the Launch X431 V+ Pros Mini which I purchased new from obdii365 for $1079. I also have a PIWIS III clone V38.90 that i purchased from another website for $1429. I purchased the Launch X431 V+ with the intent of using it to flash a used control module for my car. When I discovered that the Launch X431 V+ could not do that I purchased a PIWIS III clone with the intention of selling the Launch X431 V+ but I have not got around to selling it yet because it is so much easier to use then the PIWIS III.Here is what I have done so far with each one.
