Prodiag vs Xdiag vs Diagzone vs Launch X431 PAD7

We have made a comparison between xdiag and diagzone before, today we continue to make a comparison on more tools: Prodiag vs Xdiag vs Diagzone vs Launch X431 PAD7 vs  Topdon phoenix diagnostic scanners.

 Xdiag vs Diagzone

All advantages and disadvantages listed below: 

 

Prodiag 

Prodiag

Advantages: 

– Online coding/programming works 

– Wired diagnostics possible 

– Clone gearbox and engine control unit, program possible 

– Works with Xprog3 

– TSGUN, Thinktpms(tire programmer) works 

– Oscilloscope, BST360, sensor box work 

– Low update costs compared to the competition 

– Launch X431 PAD 7 software adopted one to one 

– The car update package includes electric vehicles and motorcycles 

 

Disadvantages:

– Program is slightly slower compared to Xdiag and Diagzone 

– No guided functions (guided functions) currently possible. 

 

 

Diagzone:

Advantages:

– Online coding/programming works

– Programming excellent, very fast response of the apps

– Guided functions work

– TSGUN, Thinktpms(tire programmer) works

– Own website in the main program of the app, where problems (prior registration required) can be explained

 

Disadvantages: 

– No wired diagnostics possible

– Update costs very high.

– Electric vehicles and motorcycles cost extra

– Clone gearbox and engine control unit, programming does not work

– Oscilloscope, BST360, sensor box not working

– Xprog3 does not work

– Thinkdiag new boot not work, only old boot

 

 

Xdiag:

Advantages: 

– Online coding/programming works

– Good diagnosis, reliable

– Software kept simple, therefore damn fast

– Guided function works

 

Disadvantages:

– No wired diagnostics possible

– Update costs very high.

– Clone gearbox and engine control unit, programming does not work

– Oscilloscope, BST360, sensor box not working

– TSGUN, Thinktpms(tire programmer) is NOT working

– Xprog3 does not work

 

 

Launch X431 PAD VII:

Advantages: 

– Online coding/programming works

– Professional diagnosis, reliable

– Works with all Launch extension modules- X-prog3, Oscilloscope, BST360, sensor, TSGUN etc

– Guided function works

-Frequently update

-J2534 programming works

-Standalone, don’t need laptop/mobile

– damn fast

-Topology mapping- have all control units corresponding to car

 

Disadvantages: 

– Expensive

– Update costs high.

– online programming is limited in Spain

 

 

In sum:

xdiag, diagzone or prodiag is definitely good for the workshop for parameters, extensive software, many functions, etc.  The launch tablet can do much more but this option costs more.

Topdon has the same interface as Prodiag.  Launch tablet are much more advanced when it comes to this. xdiag/diagzone/prodiag cannot even do half as much and far too unreliable when it comes to coverage. Cars are getting newer and newer and only Launch official keeps up with newer updates.

If you only want to diagnose one vehicle, the dongle is enough. If need do to programming function, switched back to launch x431.

Launch X431 V+ or PIWIS-III for Porsche Diagnosis?

I have the Launch X431 V+ Pros Mini which I purchased new from obdii365 for $1079. I also have a PIWIS III clone V38.90 that i purchased from another website for $1429. I purchased the Launch X431 V+ with the intent of using it to flash a used control module for my car. When I discovered that the Launch X431 V+ could not do that I purchased a PIWIS III clone with the intention of selling the Launch X431 V+ but I have not got around to selling it yet because it is so much easier to use then the PIWIS III.Here is what I have done so far with each one.
