What’s the difference between   Launch X431 x-prog3   with X431 V+/V/Pro3s+ tablet and Xprog3 with X431 PAD V/PAD VII/Pro5?   X-prog3 is compatible with Multiple X-431 Series Diagnostic Tablets  ( X-431 V ,  X-431 V+ ,  X431 Pro5 ,  X431 ProS ,  X-431 PAD V ,  X-431 PAD VII ,   X431 Pros3+   etc)     X-prog 3 or the GIII with X431 V/V+/Pro3s+/Pros has the same immobilizer coverage as x-prog3 with PAD VII/PAD V/Pro5. I installed a flasher on my 2022 Macan GTS 3rd brake. The brake light would flash 2 times but then go dark and create an error message on the dash. This is called emergency brake light. Can be activated via PIWIS or Launch X431 V+ / Pros Mini coding. All rear lights flash when an acceleration (de-acceleration) parameter is met. The default parameters are when you are doing a speed above 70mph and experience a de acceleration of 0.81G’s, the rear lights (both brake lights and 3rd light) will flash. I activated in mine and modified parameters so that it activated at any speed above 3 km/h and de-acceleration of 0.71G’s. For the Macan the setting is in rear end electronics. Once you turn that option on. Set this option to 1 sec and leave everything this else as is from factory.   I also enabled emergency brake flashing on 991.1, same process as the Macan.

 Question: Will Launch X431 V+ HD III diagnose  John Deere & New Holland heavy duty vehicles? I cannot find them on HD3. Solution: You need to purchase John Deere & New Holland truck license separately. 

Problem:  I got the   X-prog3   (G III) to program keys with   Launch X431 PAD VII   tablet.  I run a firmware upgrade but it failed me yesterday. Saying ‘Failed to Update the anti-theft key matching adapter firmware’. Any idea how to fix it? Solution: Need to send the X-prog 3 main unit back to your seller to   reflash firmware.

 Problem: I have got the X431 TSGUN TPMS tool to work with my launch x431 v v4.0 8 inch tablet. However, it does not show me TPMS software. Error 1: Cannot find the software TPMS, download or check that the serial number is correct.   Error 2: this product does not support TPMS function. Solution: Download TPMS software again. It will work without problem

I thought it would be a good idea to let everyone know about this   Launch X431 V+ pro   scan tool I originally bought a year or so ago mostly for working on non Sprinter related things like used cars at work, family vehicles, my own stuff. My Launch x431 V Pro will clear those faults, assuming it’s the ones stored in the airbag module. I use it daily when I need to clear any kind of codes or figure out a simple problem that doesn’t need documents uploaded because I’m always using the   xentry   on something else and only have access to one xentry. The launch v+ has done great on everything I’ve used it on. Oh also free updates for 1 year on the one I bought.
